What is a Clinical Study?

What we do

A clinical study can be defined as a study conducted on diseased people in order to obtain a better understanding of a target disease causes, evolution and modalities of treatment and to improve the quantity and quality of life of present and future patients.

The research methods used in clinical research can be divided into two major categories:

  1. Experimental Studies which include randomized clinical trials used to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  2. Observational Studies which can be descriptive or analytical (case-control studies, cohort studies, cross-sectional studies) used to assess causes and prognosis of disease.
