Centro Studi GISED

Centro Studi GISED is an association with legal status registered in the registry of legal persons number 2096/2004 at the R.E.A. of Bergamo. This non-profit association was founded in 2002 with the aim of improving scientific knowledge, research, and information directed towards the public regarding dermatological disease.

Centro Studi GISED has for long time coordinated the Italian Group for Epidemiologic Research in Dermatology (GISED) - a working group of the Italian Society of Dermatology (SIDEMAST) - and still supports its activity. More than 50 Italian dermatological university or hospital centers have been collaborating since 1986.

Besides primary research programmes, Centro Studi GISED conducts systematic reviews of published research and metanalysis, i.e., quantitative synthesis of several study results.

The final aim is to improve health care and to promote equity in access to health services.
