Under the heading "Amici di pelle" (meaning, " Friends of skin") are grouped initiatives aimed at supporting independent research, at promoting education and solidarity with underprivileged areas in the world.

It also includes initiatives in the area of the medical humanities and the "Fior di pelle" (meaning, "Skin deep"), database which collects citations from the literature and other art on the skin.
