YDIN, Young Dermatologist Italian Network

What we do

YDINYDIN (Young Dermatologists Italian Network) was born as a group of young researchers in dermatology wishing to confront each other and put their knowledge together. We are betting on a young team because the research is made of new ideas, comparison, and above all dreams. This team aims to help, support and enhance young researchers in dermatology with ideas and desire to do. On December 10, 2016, we got together and accepted the challenge!

The Members

Giovanni Damiani

Giovanni Damiani

M.D. specializing in Dermatology. I entered with the national competition and I am now operating at the Policlinics of Milan. Always fascinated by the idea of a team and sure that medicine is heritage of all and for this reason it must be uphold, improved and enriched. Research and clinical practice are the two key aspects that should not be lacking in the professional life of a doctor. I am focusing my clinical and scientific efforts on the study/treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa; the evaluation of big data with artificial intelligence technologies like Artificial Neural Network is another of my interests. From December 2016 I manage the Young Dermatologists Italian Network with other researchers who, like me, share these ideas.

Elena Pezzolo

Elena Pezzolo

Young specialist in Dermatology and Venereology in close collaboration with the University of Rotterdam. My field of interest mainly concerns the epidemiology of dermatological diseases, of which little is known. My work aims, in particular, to use the power of clinical data - collected in different countries - to answer key questions in the field of dermatology. I am always interested in new national and international collaborations, as new ideas arise from interaction and the work of a qualified team enhances scientific research.

Ilaria Coati

Ilaria Coati

As young specialist in Dermatology and Venereology, I have always been interested in the emotional involvement of dermatological patients. I participate in the psoriasis patients' psychotherapy group of the regional center where I work. Although I still remain fascinated by the complexity of the link between skin and psyche, I am also passionate regarding the therapy possibilities offered by biotechnological drugs and targeted therapies. I'm betting on forming a solid network with other colleagues.

Nicola Milanesi

Nicola Milanesi

Young specialist in Dermatology and Venereology in force at the University of Florence. My main interests are concentrated in the intricate world of Allergology and Professional Dermatology that I have been following and deepening for many years. Teamwork remains the foundation of my approach both with colleagues and patients.

Simone Ribero

Simone Ribero

Young specialist in Dermatology and Venereology with a PhD in Oncology. Currently research fellow at the University of Turin. I concentrate my energies on the study of cutaneous melanoma, deepening prognostic factors and genetics. The idea of a young and motivated team pushed me to accept the YDIN challenge.

News and ongoing projects

YDIN in the front row for Telemedicine. The partnership in the 1st International Conference on eHealth and Tele-health - ICEHAT 2018 is now official.
